UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in Macfrut 2025, organized by Cesena Fiera from 6th to 8th May 2025 in Rimini, Italy, by assisting an Iraqi business delegation organized in collaboration with the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI).

The Iraqi delegation, producing dried and dehydrated fruit from Iraq, took part in business meetings with Italian and foreign companies during all the three days of the exhibition. This allowed to highlight the interest of Italian operators in this emerging market, as well as the Iraqi companies to get acquainted with the last trends and technologies in the sector. 

The positive experience at the 2025 Macfrut — confirming once again its huge relevance at Italian and international level for the horticultural sector and related innovations — concluded after a meeting with Macfrut President Renzo Piraccini, thus paving the way to explore further new collaborations with Iraq.
